Centre for Gandhian Studies: Peace and Non-Violence
The Centre for Gandhian Studies, Peace and Non-Violence, since its inception has been extensively working to contribute to the corpus of literature and thought on Gandhi to the present society by organizing seminars, conferences, orientation programmes, guest lectures, photo exhibitions etc., on Gandhiji. The centre aims to promote activities both for the younger generation matured Gandhian activists and workers and to translate the same into social life for the benefit of the nations. The objective of the centre is to promote, organize and undertake the study of the life and thought of Mahatma Gandhi. The University inculcates value education to build responsible, sensitive, creative and thoughtful citizens with national and international perspectives. Centre for Gandhian Studies : Peace and Non-Violence under the aegis of which are organized several curricular and co-curricular activities to promote values among its stake holders – students, teachers and non-teaching staff.
Value promotion Character building is a challenge facing the Higher Educational Institutions now. The Institution is much concerned to groom the youth as cultured citizen cherishing national ethos.

Mission
The Centre for Gandhian Studies, Peace and Non-Violence, is dedicated to promote environmental, social and political thought of Mahatma Gandhi through teaching, Seminars, Conferences, Orientation Programmes, Guest Lectures, Photo Exhibitions, Literary and Cultural Competitions to students, Peace Rallies, etc.
Goals
To disseminate the thought and message of Mahatma Gandhi to the students and present society by conducting various activities.
To coordinate and have a link with Gandhian Organizations and Gandhians.
To create awareness among the students on the relevance of Mahatma Gandhi’s Principles in present situation.
To publish books, booklets and articles on Mahatma Gandhi, Indian freedom movement, Swaraj and rural development.
